The goal of SPEED is to foster the advancement of the marriage between Signal Processing and Cryptographic techniques, aiming at the initiation and development of a totally new and unexplored interdisciplinary framework for signal processing in the encrypted domain (s.p.e.d.). Within SPEED, our research activity is carried out both at a theoretical and a practical level, the theoretical part being dedicated to the development of a general framework investigating the fundamental limits and trade-offs related to signal representation in the encrypted domain, and the practical part being devoted to the development of some basic signal processing building blocks, namely encrypted domain transforms and composite representations, to be applied in some selected scenarios.
